"The King's Chamber", organized by the CBK (Center for the Arts, Apeldoorn) to coincide with the Queen's visit to Apeldoorn for "Queen's Day". Local artists were invited to create objects that would befit a King or Queen's private quarters. Unfortunately, the opening also coincided with the tragic events of the day. Seven vistitors were killed by a crazed driver while watching the royal family parade. The attack was aimed at the royal family itself. The opening was a somber and short-lived event for a small group, mostly the artists themselves. The weeks following the attack drew very few visitors. A lesser tragedy to be sure.
